AI feels like a completely new world—but if you've led Agile teams through uncertainty, competing priorities, and rapid change, you've been preparing for this longer than you think.
The tools are changing at an astonishing pace. The leadership challenges aren't.
The same enduring tensions that have shaped great teams for decades are now arriving faster, with more information, more automation, and less time to decide:
- Autonomy ↔ Alignment
- Speed ↔ Quality
- Trust ↔ Verification
- Structure ↔ Flexibility
- Humans ↔ Tools
AI doesn't replace these leadership tensions—it compresses the time available to recognize and navigate them.
Name the tension, and you can navigate it.
Mistake every AI challenge for something unprecedented, and it's easy to rent expensive solutions from people who discovered the problem last month.
This session isn't about chasing the latest AI trend. It's about building the judgment to recognize what's actually happening beneath the surface, so you can lead with confidence no matter which new tool appears next.

During this interactive session , you'll
Challenge a common assumption. We'll begin with a simple premise: AI may change the speed of our work, but the fundamental tensions of leading and creating remain remarkably consistent.
Work through real scenarios. In small groups, you'll compare two situations—one unmistakably "AI-era" and one from an earlier period of software development. As you work through each, you'll discover that while the technology has changed, the leadership challenge often hasn't.
Identify the underlying patterns. Together we'll compare observations, uncover recurring tensions, and discuss why experienced leaders often recognize these situations long before they recognize the latest technology trend.
Apply the framework to your own work. Bring a current challenge from your team or organization. You'll use the framework to identify the underlying tension, discuss it with peers, and leave with new perspectives and practical next steps.
Leave with tools you can use immediately. We'll wrap up by sharing key insights, recommended resources, and concrete actions you can apply the next time a "new" AI challenge appears.
Join us for an engaging evening of discussion, practical exercises, and shared learning as we explore how experienced Agile leaders can bring their hard-earned judgment into the age of AI.
