Our goal? To make AI make sense. Make It Make Sense HTX — Houston's hands-on AI learning community hosts free, practical workshops in plain English where you bring a real problem and leave with a system, a plan, or a tool you can use tomorrow. Learn, Build, and Deep Dive events for every level, from AI for beginners to more technical topics. Technology without the confusion.
No jargon. No code required. No tech background needed.
We run hands-on workshops for people who are busy, non-technical, or just curious — business owners, creators, professionals, and beginners alike. You don't come to watch a lecture. You come with a real problem, and you leave with a real system, a clear plan, or a tool you understand how to use.
If you are technical or have experience using AI please come, you never know who you’ll meet! Our Deep Dive sessions we be perfect for you advanced folks out there.
Our events come in three flavors:
Learn — understand a concept, without the tech talk
Build — make something in the room, step by step
Deep Dive — go deeper, for those ready for the technical side
Who are we looking to meet?
Houston business owners, freelancers, creators, and curious beginners who want to understand AI without the jargon. Especially people who are non-technical, too busy running their business to figure AI out on their own, or stuck on a bottleneck — tracking clients on paper, missing calls and texts, booking only by text, chasing people for documents. No tech background needed, and advanced learners are welcome too.
Make It Make Sense HTX was started in Houston by Nia Daughtry, a software engineer who builds AI systems and automations for real businesses. The first event is free, educational, and not a sales pitch — because the best way to understand AI is to use it on something that actually matters to you.
