Inaugural AI Exchange ft. Snyk, HelixML, Futuria.ai, WeBuild-AI

Details
Due to popular demand, the inaugural AI Exchange London is here, with our first event scheduled for the 28th of January 2025!
We have a brilliant lineup of speakers, featuring four pioneering companies in the world of Artificial Intelligence; HelixML, WeBuild-AI, [Futuria.ai](https://futuria.ai/) and our good friends, Snyk, hosting us at their amazing office opposite Euston station.
Nick from hosts Snyk will show us how to keep large language models safe and effective, with a talk on Practical Security Guardrails. Luke at HelixML will reflect on the evolution from DevOps to MLOps and now diving deep into GenAI. Diogo and Brendan from WeBuild will be offering practical considerations of AI agents and Rob at Futuria.ai giving a no-nonsense insight into lessons learnt and what’s next for scaling up Agentic AI in the real world
The full agenda can be found below, doors open at 6:30pm with talks starting at 7pm sharp. The capacity is tight, so be sure to RSVP as soon as you can to secure your spot.
Agenda:
7:00pm: Nick Vinson, Sr. Director of Product Security @ Snyk
"Practical Security Guardrails for LLMs"
LLM based systems are being built and deployed at a rapid pace and new security threats are being introduced as a consequence. In this talk we'll discuss the nature of these threats and what security controls can be implemented to protect against them
7:20pm: Luke Marsden, CEO @ HelixML
"We can all be AI engineers – and we can do it with open source models"
Having lived through the evolution from DevOps to MLOps and now diving deep into GenAI with HelixML, I keep seeing the same pattern: complex tools get simpler, workflows get standardised, and suddenly what seemed like rocket science becomes just... more engineering.
In this talk Luke breaks down the key things you know to build an AI application today and demos how to do this practically (and easily!)
Hacker, entrepreneur. Luke works at the intersection of DevOps and GenAI.
7:40pm: Diogo Sousa & Brendan Foxen, Founding AI Engineer & CTO @ WeBuild-AI
"AI Agents: An Engineering Perspective"
This presentation explores the practical implementation and engineering considerations of AI agents - software systems that can perceive their environment and take autonomous actions to achieve specific goals. The WeBuild-AI team will examine the core components, architectural patterns, and real-world applications while highlighting key engineering challenges and solutions.
8:00pm: Rob Price - Founder @ Futuria.ai
"Agentic AI: Designing Hybrid Teams for High-Assurance Organisations"
Futuria.ai has spent the last year getting stuck into delivering Agentic AI, moving beyond experiments into real, operational use. With an MVP now live in secure, high-assurance organisations, Rob Price will share what it takes to design AI agent teams that sit right at the heart of the operating model. From augmenting human teams to enabling new ways of tackling tough problems, this session explores how to get the most out of hybrid AI-human collaboration. Expect a no-nonsense look at lessons learned, fascinating challenges, and what’s next for scaling up Agentic AI in the real world.
Rob is co-founder of [Futuria.ai](http://futuria.ai/), an Agentic AI startup that is helping organisations massively accelerate and augment their existing teams. He is co-founder of the global Corporate Digital Responsibility (CDR) movement, and has held a number of senior roles - COO, CDO and Managing Partner - in large global technology and payment businesses.
8:20pm: Further refreshments at Snyk
9:00pm: Drinks and continued discussion at The Somers Town Coffee House in Euston, courtesy of our sponsors LinuxRecruit.
We look forward to seeing you on what looks to be a great night.
*AI Exchange events are currently being scheduled across the whole of 2025, if you're interested in getting involved with either talking or hosting, please get in touch to be considered.
All the best,
