Next Tuesday Sep 29th - we're running AI for Mechanical Engineers: Season 2, an evening about what happens when AI meets the messy stuff engineers actually deal with:
1. CAD assemblies only a few people truly understand
2. Product knowledge that lives in senior engineers' heads
3. Manuals that don't quite match the machine in front of you
4. Service questions that all end up with one person at HQ
5. AI that sounds completely confident while being technically wrong

*The talk*
Joseph Douglas, founder of 3DScribe, shows live systems on real assemblies, including where current models still get it wrong:
1. Can an AI understand why the parts of a complex machine belong together?
2. What do you do when the manual doesn't have the answer to the problem in front of you?

*Slop or Not 😂*
We put AI-generated engineering material on screen (images, 3D models, confident technical statements) and the room votes: real engineering, or slop? Some of them will fool you. Small prize for the sharpest eye.

*Bring a problem*
One real engineering, documentation or knowledge problem you've already tried to solve. Ideally one where the answer currently lives with one person. Attendees can also get one of their own assemblies processed free by 3DScribe afterwards, no strings attached.

*Who'll be there*
Mechanical and manufacturing engineers, engineering managers, service leaders and founders building physical products, approved by fit:. If your world involves parts, assemblies, tooling or documentation, you'll recognise most of what's discussed.
Pizza, craft beer and wine - and plenty of time to talk.
