Friday is our open co-working day.
People come to work on their own projects, take breaks together, and usually stay through the afternoon. It’s quiet, focused, and builder- and founder-led.
You can arrive anytime from 10AM. Most people show up after lunch and settle in before 1.30pm. Bring your laptop. Grab any open seat. Stay as long as you like.
At 1.30pm, we pause work briefly for a shared session called The Stage, then everyone goes back to working.
This is how Fridays here work.

The Stage @ 1.30PM
The Stage is a short, open-format session where builders and founders share something they are actively working on. A workflow, a technical breakdown, a lesson learned, or just a topic keeping him/her up at night.
The goal is to spark ideas you can try immediately after, during the same afternoon. After the session ends, most people simply open their laptops again and continue working.

Title: The Complexity Machine — A philosopher's take on the enterprise
Farhad Ghayour is a creative technologist and former McKinsey consultant with a background in philosophy, math, and programming. He's spent years in startups and leading enterprise transformations, authored two technical books, and contributes to open-source. He's currently building the WebGL/WebGPU community space and his next venture in interactive content.

This is the first of an ongoing series towards building a new mental model of strategy for the increasingly complex AI-native world.

In this session, we will first lay the groundwork on how companies are actually an abstraction layer for complexity. First, your value to customers is your ability to first absorb, and then translate external complexities into outcomes meaningful for them. Second, your ability to manage internal complexities also determines your chances of surviving as an organization. From this point of view, management of complexity is at the core of what a enterprise does. Yet, we do not have a clear language and mental model for communicating and understanding complexity.

Takeaway: A new mental model for viewing the role of modern enterprises, and how it will help you the increasingly complex AI-native business environment.

After the session, we go back to work.
