Welcome to this week's hands-on engineering workshop!
In this workshop, participants will build a working RFID hotel key card access system using Arduino. This is a beginner-friendly project that introduces programming, electronics, and embedded systems through a real-world application.
What you'll do
Learn the basics of Arduino programming
Connect and program an RFID reader
Build a working smart door access system
Learn basic electronic wiring
Test and debug your own project
Take photos and videos of your project
Who should join?
Students ages 12+
Parents interested in STEM education
Beginners are welcome
No prior programming experience is required
Participants under 18 should attend with a parent or have parental permission.
What to bring
A laptop if you have one (optional)
Curiosity and willingness to learn
All Arduino hardware and tools will be provided during the workshop.
