Most people's AI output sounds like everyone else's. There's a specific reason — and a specific fix.

Every time you open ChatGPT or Copilot, it starts from zero. It doesn't know who you are, who you serve, how you talk, or what you'd never say. So you get back something polished and anonymous, you spend twenty minutes editing it into sounding like you, and eventually you think: I could've just written this myself.
That's not a prompting problem. It's an onboarding problem.

This is a working session, not a webinar. Bring a laptop. By the end of 45 minutes you'll have built a Personal AI DNA file for your own business — one page of plain text that makes every AI session afterward sound like you instead of a stranger.

What we'll cover

  • What AI actually is, in plain language — and honestly what it can't do
  • Three things from the news that matter to you as a business owner
  • Where this is heading, and the one thing that doesn't change as the tools do
  • Why your AI output feels generic, and why it isn't your fault
  • The six components of a Personal AI DNA file, with real examples
  • A four-minute trick for capturing your writing voice
  • The build: I'll write mine live on screen while you write yours
  • The test: run the same request with and without it, and see the difference on your own screen

What you'll need
A laptop and a free ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot or Gemini account. No paid plan. No software to buy. Notepad is genuinely enough.

Who this is for
Business owners, coaches, consultants and freelancers who write a lot and resent how long it takes — especially if you've tried AI and found the output too generic to actually use. Complete beginners are welcome; so are daily users, who tend to get the most out of the second half.

About me
I'm Emery Layton, a licensed Professional Engineer with 25 years in water and wastewater infrastructure. I work in a field where being wrong carries real liability, so I had to make AI work under constraints most people never deal with — it had to be accurate, consistent, and sound like me. That's the version I teach: built for reliability, not for show.
At the end I'll mention a paid workshop for anyone who wants to go further. It's genuinely optional — the class stands on its own, and everyone leaves with the template whether they buy anything or not.
