Join us for our mixed-level beginner-friendly practice!
Your first practice will include warm-ups, movement coordination exercises, learning to fall safely, and basic aikido techniques. All of our practices are mixed-level, so you will be working with beginners through blackbelts. Techniques involve non-injurious contact such as grabs. The majority of techniques are adaptable to all bodies and physical ability levels.
Please get to the dojo a few minutes early so you can meet the instructor, sign a waiver, and get situated in the space. Notify the instructor if you have any physical limitations or concerns. Wear any comfortable clothing you can move in, and be prepared to take off shoes and jewelry before stepping onto the mat. I recommend bringing a water bottle.
