Sip and Stitch - Sewing workshop
Akasha Academy @Naturheilpraxis, Häberlstraße 14a, München, DEA workshop for small repairs - with heart, creativity, and a cup of tea
A hole in your favorite jeans, a sock lovingly knitted by Grandma, a moth hole in a wool sweater, or a cardigan with a loose seam – many things can be saved with just a few stitches. In this workshop, you’ll learn simple hand-sewing techniques to repair your clothes and make them even more beautiful along the way.
Together, we’ll practice basic stitches, close seams, sew on buttons, and mend small holes. And if you like, you can try your hand at creative, visible mending – with colorful or floral embroidery, woven patches, or Sashiko-inspired designs.
Instead of throwing things away, we’ll rediscover the joy of valuing what we own, giving it care and personality. This way, you’ll create garments with stories – and maybe even new favorites.
No experience needed. Just bring a few pieces of clothing with small damages – we’ll provide the rest.

Network Session - Global Guardians – Education for the future of our planet
·OnlineOnlineGlobal Guardians – Education for the future of our planet
What do young people need to face the challenges of our current times?
The Global Guardians approach helps young people to connect with the world around them – while developing confidence and responsibility to take care of the planet and each other.
Through practical learning, they experience how air, water, soil, and all living beings are connected. They learn to observe, analyze, and understand that they are part of a larger living system. Implemented in both Germany and Nepal, the program offers a universally applicable approach, empowering young people across cultures to become Global Guardians of our shared home.
What to expect:
- Practical insights into the Global Guardians program from Nepal and Germany
- Inspiration on fostering confidence, resilience, and responsibility in young people
- Exchange with the Akasha Education team as well as other educators, practitioners, and changemakers
