ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Steven Yu
Illustrator/Visual Art Educator
I'm an illustrator, comic book artist, and retro action film geek. My art and comics are influenced by 80's/90's action films (Lethal Weapon, Robocop, T2, etc). I currently published my graphic novel, "JOAN: VOL 1". It's something like, "what if Tarantino wrote a fantasy script about Joan of Arc and it was directed by John Woo?".
My long term goal is to self publish a series of books all in the action genre. The saga of "Joan" is my flagship series and as time goes on I would like to create more action stories in the realm of cyberpunk, crime drama, etc.
Here you'll find my artwork, work in progress of my illustrative work, tutorials, and general art musings.
