Trying to start back up our competitive weekly play!
We will only have one net for this period, but if you have another net and would like to attend, please DM me or let me know in the comments and I’ll increase the cap.
(or are the usual USUAL rules apply:

-FIRST & FOREMOST REQUIREMENT: a good upbeat attitude & be ready to play
-Beer, seltzers, water (A/NA beverages are always welcome)
-Snack to share
-Extra balls to practice
-Camping chairs, sunscreen, blanket, hat, sunglasses & good shoes
-Non-volleyball equipment such as a table, canopy, or cooler
-If you have your own net and would like to bring it, please either message the host/comment on the meetup.
***There's no requirement to bring anything but please at the very least bring a good attitude and a welcoming and accepting behavior of beginners/newcomers & fellow players in general.
***Organizers & Hosts reserve the right to remove players from the court and meetup at their discretion.
Just a few things to note in case you forgot or are new to the group:
- We setup this meetup as a volleyball social. This means that while the games should be relatively competitive, adhere to basic volleyball rules, and follow the general format play of bump-set-spike, we're looking to be welcoming and friendly with one another, accept new and beginner players, and MOST IMPORTANTLY: have a good time.
- Our volleyball games should always follow basic volleyball rules and thus, the games should be in the format of bump-set-spike. The majority of the players are beginner to intermediate level. We don't run a 5-1 rotation nor do we partake in drills beforehand. If you consider yourself more advanced, please be considerate of the skill levels of fellow players before signing up. We're all looking to improve our games and get some exercise, but note that we treat this meetup as a social and don't intend to start organized league play.
- The volleyball games are jump-in/jump-out, there are no set teams. Organizers reserve the right to remove player(s) who are playing consecutive games while newcomer(s) are waiting.
- This volleyball meetup is solely run by volunteer organizers. While we don't look for financial assistance or donations to keep the meetups going, we actively encourage returning players and members to help contribute to the success of these meetups by providing either non-volleyball equipment (such as tables, chairs, beach towels, etc. as mentioned earlier) or bringing beers and snacks to share. Newcomers are not expected to bring or contribute anything, but encouraged to do so if compelled.
- As a volleyball meetup in a public park, players, members, and attendees of all types assume full liability for anything that happens within the park as well as full liability for any guest(s) they bring.
- The organizers strive for safety and a welcoming environment as our #1 policy, please report any behavior that is against this policy to the organizers. You can either talk with any organizer(s) during the meetup or direct message.
*Please note that underage players will not be allowed to participate or attend in this meetup.
If LittleJohn Park is occupied, we will re-locate and post in the meetup app. Please be mindful of your play style and attitude around others (our third time mentioning this, IT'S THAT IMPORTANT!), we all like good competitive play but also effort, teamwork and for beginners to receive constructive criticism from more experienced players.
Let's have some good games!
