Come on out and spend the day celebrating Irish culture with us!

This is a 3-part event and you can join us for 1, 2, or all 3 parts. Just let me know in the comments which events you're joining us for so that I can make an accurate reservation for the restaurant, and know to look for you in front of Rosa's Latino Café for the parade, and know to look for you at the Irish-American Heritage Museum.

1)We'll start with brunch/early lunch at O'Slattery's, in Delmar. O'Slattery's is one of the few Irish-owned eating establishments in the Capital District that still offers a variety of traditional Irish dishes.

We'll have a relaxed meal there, then drive back to Albany and park in the SUNYA Downtown academic campus area, near Page Hall. There's a parking lot across from Page Hall, on Western Avenue. We'll try to park in that parking lot, or near to it.

2)Then we'll reassemble in front of Rosa's Latino Café, on the corner of Central Avenue and Lexington Avenue. The parade will start from that intersection at 2:00 p.m., so we'll get there before 2:00. We'll walk with the parade to downtown Albany, occasionally stopping to buy merchandise, use restrooms, and have a toast at an establishment along the way.

3)Before the end of the parade, we'll go to the Irish-American Heritage Museum at 21 Quackenbush Square in downtown Albany, to the left of the Old English Pub (slightly northeast of the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Broadway). The Museum might only be open until 4:00 pm, so we'll try to get there between 3:30 and 3:45.

At the Museum, we'll see their exhibits on Irish and Irish-American culture and history. The Museum also has a gift shop with some great Irish and Irish-American products.

Afterwards, we'll share an Uber or a taxi back to where we parked.

(And, if you still want to celebrate, then you can join us for the next event: dinner at Katie O'Byrne's in Schenectady, followed by the Oscar-nominated Documentary Shorts at Proctors.)
