No matter what language you're learning, ALM is a place to put your language skills into practice while meeting interesting people and enjoying life in Calgary.

## πΊ A bit about our founder
I'm Cody, the founder of ALM! I started ALM Edmonton two years ago, and after seeing the friendships and connections that grew from that community, I am pleased to have the chance to do it all over again here in Calgary.
I'm a native English speaker who also speaks German, Spanish, French, Mandarin, Korean, and Japanese. I love bringing people together through languages and creating opportunities for friendships that might never have happened otherwise.
ALM Calgary is still young, so you can be part of the community from the beginning and help shape what it becomes!

π Coming alone? Perfect! Most of our members came to their first ALM event not knowing anybody. When you arrive, introduce yourself to Cody and he'll help get you connected.

Our one main rule: speak the language of the table you're sitting at! This gives everyone a chance to practice and helps keep conversations accessible to people learning that language.
Want to practise more than one language? No problem! Feel free to move between tables throughout the evening.
For the best experience, you should already be able to hold at least a simple conversation in your target language. You don't need to be fluent, and mistakes are part of learning!
