Braver Bridge Builders
Asbury United Methodist Church, Albuquerque, NM, Albuquerque, NM, USOur August Braver Bridge Builders discussion on the impact of the declining US birthrate and current policies regarding legal immigration generated a great deal of interest in the topic of immigration.
This month we will dig deeper into the many issues surrounding US immigration policies. We want to hear what is at the heart of the immigration issue for you.
Considering the complexities of this topic we encourage attendees beforehand to watch Immigration 101 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsE8WRaRYU0)) a short intro to the US Immigration System, led by two experts who differ on immigration policies but agree on the facts.
Please feel free to bring a lunch or meet afterwards at a local restaurant.

Mimi's Cafe, 4316 The 25 Way, Albuquerque, NM, USJoin us for our monthly dinner/discussion.
We will have a special guest speaker this month: Natalie Figueroa, New Mexico State Senator representing District 18.
Natalie will talk us through the four New Mexico constitutional amendments on the upcoming November 3 General Election ballot. She'll help us understand the process by which they came to be, and then we can also discuss their pros and cons with her input.
The New Mexico Legislature publishes an official analysis and arguments for and against each of the four amendments. If you would like to learn more before the discussion you can read the publication here.
