A Braver Angels Community Debate

Join us for a Braver Angels Community Debate on the proposed amendment to the NM State Constitution:

Should legislators be given a salary equal to the state's annual median household income, currently $67,800.

Is the amount reasonable? Will it diversify the pool of potential legislators? Come share your view and learn from other views.

The point of a Braver Angels debates is not to win an argument but to understand the other side a little better. We use a special parliamentary debate format to encourage everyone to participate, to support good faith, accurate disagreement, and to promote better understanding for all. They are always led by a specially trained Debate Chair.
