Join Superintendent Nancy Hendricks as she takes us through the history of Petroglyph National Monument as we celebrate 35 years since the Congressional designation of the site.
Who made the petroglyphs? Why is the area important to the Indigenous people? What are the connections of early Spanish explorers and settlers to the site?
Hendricks will discuss this and the ongoing challenges of protecting the
irreplaceable and significant resources and cultural landscape of the Monument.
