Paris in the Summertime.....

Details

THIS IS NOW FULL MESSAGE IF STILL INTERESTED TO CHECK TRAINS AND AVAILABILITY.

Fancy a summer break this year that's actually affordable AND during school holidays? 😮 How about a long weekend in Paris? By Eurostar? Well here ya go......

Train
Eurostar out on Friday 1st August at 15:31 and returning on 5th August 18:02 train. 2 travel bags allowed, no bigger than 85cm, but you must be able to lift them onto a luggage rack yourself plus you must be able to wheel them from station to the hotel. Travel assistance is available on the train but must be notified when you book the tickets.

Hotel
Hotel Alane, good price, looks boutique style and is halfway between Montmartre and the Louvre and close to the train station (10 mins walk).

Paris can be chaotic, vibrant and lively. There is plenty to do and see and you will likely be making most of public transport system. Comfy shoes will be needed and its August so likely to be hot....or flooded, one or the other.

I will be getting to London, either by train all the way or by a combination of drive to Luton and train from there. Have not decided this yet as trainline have not yet released the ticket prices for national trains. 🤨

Potential Itinerary
Day 1 - arrive. Latin quarter vibrant and lively on a Friday evening/food/Eiffel tower (If you want to go up Eiffel tower, better to prebook and save Q-ing. Tickets currently 36 euros)
Saturday - Notre Dame & Saint Sulpice or Chapelle on the river seine. River walk with picnic lunch on the Paris Plages. Boat trip. Evening in Pigalle area see the Moulin Rouge.
Sunday - Morning coffee & Breakfast in artist square of Montmatre and people watching. Walk along the Paris 'train lines' (Free) The Petit Palace fine art museum. (Free and just as good as the Louvre with only half the tourists)
Monday - Hop on/off 24 hour bus tour Champs Elysee, Place du Concorde, Tuilleries & Louvre museum buildings.
Tuesday - Hop on/Off. Lunch return home.
The above can be mixed and matched depending on weather and idleness. 🤣
