What we’re about
Our meetup is organized for people who are 21 years of age and older who enjoy exploring and rediscovering American history through a Black American perspective primarily in the DC Metro area and beyond.
We will explore the many contributions of our ancestors the impact of historical events on the Black community and America.
We will also bring awareness to Black historical sites and figures within our own communities while promoting an interest in Black History.
Some of our activities include visiting museums, monuments and national parks; Attending and hosting discussion groups dinners, guest speakers, movies and live cultural performances This is a learning opportunity for all and all are welcome.
