What we’re about

Hello All,

This group is for people who enjoy playing tennis with a wide variety of people of varying skill levels; however, this group is not for beginners. (If you are getting back into tennis after time away, that is fine.) In general, you should have a USTA rating of 3.0-5.0. Most players are in the intermediate range.

RULES

  1. Respect your fellow players and have fun! No unsportsmanlike conduct, discrimination, harassment, assault, etc. Please report any problems to the Alexandria Tennis account.
  2. Be flexible with your expectations. We aim to have doubles matches, numbers permitting.
  3. Once you commit to an event, show up. If you have to cancel, please do so as early as possible. If you will be late, comment in the event to let us know! Canceling within 2 hours of the event, or showing up more than 20 minutes late, is considered a no-show.
One no-show: You may be sent a reminder/warning.
Two no-shows: You may be barred from signing up for events for one month.
Three no-shows: You may be removed from the group.
  4. If you don't participate in events or are not an active presence for several months, you may be removed due to inactivity and are welcome to re-join.

As the organizers, we will do our best to run a fair and open group. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to message us at the Alexandria Tennis account.

All matches are outdoors. We play year-round.

There are no mandatory fees associated with the group. A recommended $10 contribution to cover the meetup cost and administration compensation would be appreciated. Finances will be reported periodically to the group. You can Venmo directly at @Nat-Rabner or give cash to an organizer at one of the meetups.
