Fredericksburg Walkabout

A rainy weekend is in the forecast, but there should be a break in the showers on Sunday for a nice walk around town. Let's meet at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center and see the sights.

❶ What we'll do:

• From the sidewalk in front of the Visitor Center, we'll go for a clockwise walk around town along city streets and the Rappahannock Canal trails.
• The total distance is about 4 miles; perhaps a little more. The surface is mostly sidewalks and gravel/dirt paths, with hills and steps here and there. This is an easy hike.

❷ How to get there:

❸ What to bring: Water, comfy shoes, and your furry friend if desired. (Leashes, please.) The layered look is recommended.
