Wines
Chateau Laroque St Emilion Grand Cru 2020
Region: Bordeaux
Score: 97 pts. TWI / 96 pts Vinous / 95+ pts. JD / 95 pts. JA
A blend of 99% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc, the 2020 Laroque is deep garnet-purple in color. A little subdued to begin, offering subtle notes of crushed rocks and damp soil, it opens out to a core of ripe black and red plums and fresh blackberries, plus a fragrant waft of lilacs. The full-bodied palate is bursting with taut, muscular black fruits and amazing tension, framed by ripe, rounded tannins, and finishing with great length and depth.

Domaine de la Font du Roi 'Lieu Dit
Les Combes' Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2019
Region: Southern Rhône Valley
Score: 95 pts. WA
The 2019 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Lieu Dit Les Combes showcases briary, herbal notes backed by black cherries, blackberries, and blueberries. Full-bodied, rich, and concentrated, this blend of roughly 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Muscardin is also ripe and velvety on the palate, with a long, plush finish.

Simonnet-Febvre Irancy Paradis 2018
Region; Burgundy
Score: 92 pts WS
A lacy red, displaying strawberry, cherry, currant and stone flavors. Balanced and fresh, hints of flowers and spice chime in as this builds to a taut, lengthy finish. Best from 2023 through 2039. 200 cases imported.

Château Grand Moulin ‘Réserve Elysée' Corbières Boutenac 2017
Region: Languedoc-Roussillon
Score: 95 pts. WA
A blend of 40% Carignan, 40% Mourvèdre and 20% Syrah, the 2017 Corbières Boutenac Réserve Elysée is an expressive, elegant rendition of these grape varieties and the localized sandy soils. Floral, garrigue and raspberry notes abound on the nose, while the full-bodied, concentrated palate is lush and generous without going over the top.
