94 pt. Cabernet Blend Wine Dinner
Details
Our November dinner event spotlights highly rated wines blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and other grape varietals to appreciate how the addition of Cabernet Sauvignon to the wine blend enhances both the quality and flavor of a wine. Just one more reason Cabernet Sauvignon is called the King of Wines.
We will compare and contrast how winemakers from different wine regions and countries use the Cabernet Sauvignon grape to produce world class wines. We will be pairing these fine wines with a mouthwatering four-course menu crafted by the Chefs at The Capital Grille.
So, if you are a foodie, a wine enthusiast, or someone looking for a great event this is one not to be missed.
Attendance is limited to 24 attendees. We are opening 8 seats at this event for Meetup members.
Wines
Sleight of Hand The Spellbinder 2022
Score: 90 pts. WS
A lively and generous red, offering easygoing flavors of cherry, raspberry and spices that linger on the zesty finish.
#73 Wine Spectator Top 100 List 2025
Haut-Bade St. Emilion 2020
Score: 94 pts. WA
Opaque purple-black in color, the 2020 Barde-Haut opens with a beguiling perfume of wild blueberries, dark chocolate and candied violets before giving way to notes of kirsch, forest floor and spice cake with a waft of dried mint. The medium to full-bodied palate bursts with juicy black and blue fruits, supported by a lovely line of freshness and beautifully soft tannins, finishing with impressive restraint and a long-lingering mineral note.
Tenuta Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore 2019
Score: 97 pts. JS
This is so nicely crafted, with tannins that are fine and integrated, creating such a fine, silky texture. It’s medium-bodied with fantastic length and a long, persistent finish. So drinkable now, but will be even better in two or three years.
Coho Headwaters 2018
Score: 93 pts. WS / 94 JS
Ripe but fresh, this lets alluring boysenberry and mulberry notes stretch out slowly, with a mix of singed apple wood and anise playing a supporting role. Reveals light bramble and violet hints that peek in on the well-fruited finish. Best from 2023 through 2035.
