The exiting and elegant commencement of the Alma de Tango group classes and Milongas at the historic Miami Woman's Club has begun, bringing back the active social calendar for which Alma de Tango is famous.
Alma de Tango is famous for creating a unique and elegant atmosphere for Tango lessons and social dancing (called a Milonga). Through Alma de Tango, Monica has traditionally featured five big, annual special events: Night of Glitz and Glamour in January (celebrating Alma de Tango’s anniversary with a formal black tie gala and live music by an authentic Argentine tango Orchestra); Milonga Rouge in February (a French-infused, romantic, Valentine’s event where guests come dressed with a touch of red, sophisticated decor and traditional French music); Earth Day Milonga in April (an annual spring showcase where students have an opportunity to perform and exhibit their progress in the dance); Signature White Party in August (our end-of-summer tradition where guests come dressed in white elegance and the music evokes tango’s Golden Era); and the Masquerade Ball in October (a traditional Venetian Ball with all of its intrigue. Guests must come fully regaled, complete with a mask). Monica also extends Alma de Tango for other artists to give workshops and perform as well as craft artists to showcase their work.
Since 2006, Alma de Tango has offered a local Milonga, classes in Argentine Tango, glamorous gala events and life-changing social gatherings to South Floridians and guests from around the globe. A Milonga re-creates the intimate atmosphere of a Buenos Aires social dance venue. One can dance the night away with our DJ's signature selection ranging from classic music by top tango orchestras to Nuevo Tango by innovative new groups. Her weekly group classes are designed for all levels. This includes from beginning basic steps and techniques, to advanced musicality and philosophy.
Now that the Miami Woman's Club has offered three-time IDO world champion Monica Llobet and her organization a home base right in the heart of Miami, be prepared to embrace the passion and romance of Argentine Tango with weekly group classes, a Milonga once a month, and big gala events throughout the year!

Alma de Tango Milonga
The Miami Woman's Club, 1737 North Bayshore Drive, 3rd Floor, Miami, FL, USAlma de Tango is bringing the elegance of Argentine Tango to South Florida. Every month one is able to experience the intimate atmosphere of a Buenos Aires Milonga at the Miami Woman's Club.
You can learn the tango with IDO Argentine Tango Champion, Monica Llobet. Her group classes are designed for all levels of experience in dancing. This includes from beginning basic steps and technique, to advance musicality and philosophy. As the evening continues; one can dance the night away with our DJ’s signature selection of music ranging from classic music by top Tango orchestras to Nuevo Tango by innovative new groups. Oh yes, and do not miss the opportunity to win great prizes in our special raffles!
