Alphabet Soup [LA POC LGBTQ+]

We are curating a community of down to earth, positive and productive, thoughtful and soulful LGBTQ+ folx of color. We are based in Downtown Los Angeles and hope to find some fun loving peeps who seek connection and want to help co-create this space and the crew of Alphabet Soupers! All with open hearts and minds are welcome! 

We noticed that finding LGBTQ+ groups for POCs around DTLA were few and far between so we wanted to start holding space for this to grow. Obviously in 2020, our LA events were halted and in 2021 we are pivoting to create community virtually so that our LGBTQ+ peeps outside of LA can also join in the fun. Whether it be VIRTUAL movie nights, game nights, book clubs, hangouts, dinner, etc. we are going to bring the same intention and spirit to all the Alphabet Soup events. We hope that one day, when it is safe, we can move things to an outdoor setting. So for now, we are going to rock the Zoom Zoom! We look forward to holding monthly get togethers knowing that even the biggest of communities and best of friends had to start somewhere- and who knows where this adventure will take us!

We (Kim & Ry) are a mixed couple of 13 years and going strong! Kim (she/they) is a proud Queer Filipinx in education. And Ry (she/they) is a mixed Queer of Black/Creole/Filipina descent in the event industry.
