Greetings, adventurer! You, yes you, are invited to Game Day!
Here's the deal: you want to meet some cool people. You also want to toss around some dice and try out that that new half-orc accent you've been working on. Maybe you can't commit to a regular schedule for a D&D campaign, or maybe you just don't want to. Maybe you're brand-new to all of this stuff and don't know where to start. It's all good. We get you.
That's where Game Day comes in. We're going to get together on the semi-regular to eat some snacks, do some icebreakers, and play some board games and RPG one-shots. These will be cozy sessions of four to eight players that are one-and-done in 2-4 hours. Sometimes I'll run a session. Sometimes my wife will run a session. And sometimes, dear adventurer, you will run a session! We'll mostly be doing D&D, but maybe sometimes Call of Cthulhu or Savage Worlds or Starfinder or that weird homebrew thing that you're working on. Sometimes we might even go completely off the rails and play Settlers of Catan or something.
Complete newbies are welcome; eight-campaign veteran DMs are welcome; you are welcome.
