## 🏔️ Hiking Level of Difficulty Rating System (1–10)

To help you prepare and choose hikes suited to your ability, we use the following difficulty rating system.
Each higher level involves greater distance, elevation gain, and overall challenge.

### Level 1 – Easy (Beginners)

Ideal for those new to hiking or seeking a relaxed outdoor walk.
Distance: Up to 5 km (≈3 mi)
Elevation Gain: Up to 100 m (≈330 ft)

### Level 2 – Beginner+

A gentle step up with mild inclines and manageable terrain.
Distance: 5–8 km (≈3–5 mi)
Elevation Gain: 100–200 m (≈330–660 ft)

### Level 3 – Moderate

Balanced between fitness and scenery — suitable for those with some hiking experience.
Distance: 8–10 km (≈5–6 mi)
Elevation Gain: 200–500 m (≈660–1,640 ft)

### Level 4 – Intermediate

Longer trails with steady climbs — good fitness and stamina required.
Distance: 10–15 km (≈6–9 mi)
Elevation Gain: 500–1,000 m (≈1,640–3,280 ft)

### Level 5 – Intermediate+

Challenging routes with steeper gradients and more rugged terrain.
Distance: 15–20 km (≈9–12 mi)
Elevation Gain: 1,000–1,600 m (≈3,280–5,250 ft)

### Level 6 – Hard

Demanding hikes with long ascents and technical sections.
Distance: 20–25 km (≈12–15 mi)
Elevation Gain: 1,600–2,200 m (≈5,250–7,220 ft)

### Level 7 – Very Hard

Physically intensive hikes requiring strong endurance and solid experience.
Distance: 25–30 km (≈15–19 mi)
Elevation Gain: 2,200–3,000 m (≈7,220–9,840 ft)

### Level 8 – Expert

Severe terrain, high altitude, and long duration — for highly trained and well-prepared hikers only.
Distance: 30+ km (≈19+ mi)
Elevation Gain: 3,000+ m (≈9,840+ ft)

### Level 9 – Extreme

Technical, high-risk routes often involving rope work, scree, or glacial conditions.
Requires advanced preparation and equipment.
Distance & Gain: Varies with route complexity

### Level 10 – Expedition / Mountaineering

Reserved for full-scale expeditions and alpine climbs — involving multi-day treks, altitude exposure, and self-sufficiency in harsh conditions.
Distance & Gain: Varies depending on expedition scale

Our lead guide, Chogo, have an impressive record of multiple summits of Mount Kilimanjaro. His remarkable feat includes climbing the mountain twice in a single day, leading both the fast and slow groups from Kibo Hut and Gilman's Point. This unparalleled experience ensures our climbers receive expert guidance and support throughout their journey.
K2 Trek Record: Carried more than 25 kg above 4000m for 55 km in 18 hours as a porter.
UAE Records:
Fastest Stairways to Heaven Left Bank: Completed the full loop in an impressive 5 hours.
Speed on Right Bank: Achieved the ascent and descent in a remarkable 3 hours.
Sherry Village Record: Covered the route in an astounding 1 hour and 58 minutes while just going for trail exploration.
