What we’re about
The Alternative Banking Working Group of Occupy meets every Sunday from 3-5pm. Starting 22 March, 2020 we will meet on-line. See meeting notices for more info.
We are much better attended than appears on Meetup because we mostly use web site and email for notices.
We are open to everyone. If you are press, please identify yourself before the meeting begins. Also, we don’t allow any recording devices at the meetings, and if you want to quote someone you need their explicit permission for each quote.
To learn more about us, see our web site. We typically discuss articles posted on the home page "New and Noteworthy" page.
We usually send out topics on Saturday and ask for more topics. To get on the list please email alt.banking.OWS@gmail.com and request to be added to the email list for Alt Banking.
The format of the meetings are as follows:
- We list the topics and discuss them briefly to give people an idea of what they are.
We vote for the topics to see who wants to discuss what.
The top 3-4 topics are chosen and we have engaging discussions of those topics.
