Kachina wilderness Hike
Details
Escape the desert heat & head up to Flagstaff this Saturday, Aug. 8th for a scenic adventure in the Kachina Peaks Wilderness!
We’ll be hiking 6-miles (round-trip) thru aspen groves, rolling hills & vibrant green, fern-lined trails.
Along the way, we’ll stop to explore a unique lava cliff complete with a cool, shallow cave-like rock formation. After a quick break, we’ll go another mile to a sunlit alpine meadow—the perfect spot to kick back on natural log seating, enjoy snacks/lunch & take in the Panoramic views of Flagstaff before making our way back.
Difficulty: Moderate to hard, due to Altitude
- Elevation: Starts 9,300 ft - descends to 8,869 ft, with rolling terrain.
So, bring at least 2-3 liters of water, snacks/nuts & join us for a day in the cool pines!
Please note - Trail total Distance is: 10 miles (because of elevation going back, it’s good idea to turn around at about 3 miles, making total only 6 miles!)
