Settle into the heart of winter at Craftsbury Outdoor Center, where cozy dorm-style lodging meets some of New England’s finest cross-country skiing. Perfect for solo travelers, couples, or small groups, these simple, comfortable rooms place you steps from over 100 km of impeccably groomed trails and the warm, welcoming dining hall. Craftsbury’s all-inclusive approach — wholesome, locally inspired meals, trail passes, and a friendly, communal atmosphere — makes it easy to relax into the rhythm of the weekend. Rental and lessons are available on site. This trip is suitable for all abilities, but absolute begginers are encouraged to take lessons. We will break into groups based on ability and interest. Accommodation will be in relatively new private cabins, 4 person occupancy. Weekend fee includes 6 fabulous meals, starting with dinner on Friday, lodging and 3 days of skiing Fri-Sun. Cross-Country Ski Packing List Clothing — Skiing Base layers (top and bottom) – synthetic or wool Mid-layers – lightweight fleece or wool Ski jacket – breathable, not bulky Softshell or windproof pants Insulated layer (for rest breaks or very cold days) Ski socks – wool or synthetic (bring an extra pair) Hat or headband Light gloves (for skiing) Warm gloves or mittens (for before/after skiing) Neck gaiter or buff Sunglasses or sport goggles (snow glare!) Gear Cross-country skis, poles, and boots (or plan to rent) Small daypack or waist pack Water bottle or insulated flask Trail snacks (nuts, bars, dried fruit) Wax kit (if you use waxable skis) Hand/foot warmers (optional)
