New Year Adventure: Mt. Osceola Hike on Sunday & Saturday Overnight at Harv

Description: Join us for a moderate-paced hike up Mt. Mt. Osceola on Sunday, located in the Sandwich Range and known for its beautiful clifftop views overlooking Waterville Valley. We plan to hike both the main peak (4,340 ft.) and East Peak (4,156 ft.) from the Kancamagus Highway as an out-and-back route. The ascent and descent of East Osceola are notoriously steep. The hike is approximately 7.6 miles with a 3,100-foot elevation gain. The trail is steep and includes a chimney and a small slide crossing, both of which may be icy.
Please note that this hike is considered strenuous. Therefore, it is intended for experienced hikers with the fitness and gear appropriate for the conditions (Crampons and snowshoes maybe required). Participants should have completed similar hikes—preferably in similar conditions—within the past three months.
As the hike will start early in the morning, we will stay at the AMC Harvard Cabin on Saturday nights, located at 862 NH-16, Jackson, NH 03846. This is a heated, self-service cabin with a full kitchen. Guests need to bring their own sleeping system and food. The lodging cost is $40 per person per night and does not include food.

Cancellation Policy: If a participant cancels before December 12, 2026, a refund will be issued. Between December 13 and December 15, a refund may be issued if the participant’s spot can be filled by someone else. After December 16, no refund will be issued. If the trip or event is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, a refund may or may not be issued. Refund requests should be directed to the trip leader via email. Refunds may take up to two weeks after the trip or event has occurred.
