Description: Join AMC Boston 20s & 30s to volunteer at Mass Audubon’s Drumlin Farm and Wildlife Sanctuary! We will assist the field manager with planting, weeding, and harvesting crops. Afterwards, we can explore the farm and wildlife sanctuary.
Gear : Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty. Please wear closed-toed shoes, not sandals. We recommend light-weight long pants, not shorts, as you will be working at ground level. If you have work gloves, bring them; otherwise Drumlin has loaner gloves you can use. Bring a water bottle; there will be extra water available on site. Sun protection (sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses) is highly recommended since we will be working in the fields with no shade.
Arrival : We'll meet at 8:45AM at the Drumlin Farm admissions window. The address is 208 South Great Road, Lincoln MA. There is a sign from the road that leads to a parking area. There is no admissions fee for volunteers.
Transportation : If you would like to carpool (either offer a ride or ask for a ride), please use the carpool sheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RcJONt8KCRBE2n9cws8RU0RWP2XhCYI3xdedEC5LtWg/edit?usp=sharing Public transportation is limited but available via the commuter rail on the Fitchburg line from North Station or Porter to Lincoln station, then a 12-min walk to Drumlin Farm.
