Description: Join us for a classic Presidential Range hike as we summit Mount Pierce and Mount Eisenhower, two of New Hampshire's iconic 4,000-foot peaks. This route offers a rewarding mix of forested trails and expansive views of the White Mountains.
We'll ascend via the Crawford Path, the oldest continuously maintained hiking trail in the United States, climbing steadily through spruce and fir forest before emerging above treeline. After reaching Mount Pierce (4,310 ft), we'll continue along the ridge to Mount Eisenhower (4,760 ft), where we'll enjoy sweeping views of the Presidential Range, Mount Washington, the Southern Presidentials, and beyond.
Expect approximately 9 miles round trip with about 2,500-2,800 feet of elevation gain. This is a strenuous hike requiring good fitness, prior hiking experience, and comfort maintaining a moderate pace over rocky and uneven terrain. Weather in the Presidential Range can change rapidly, and participants should come prepared for sun, wind, rain, and cooler temperatures, even in summer.
We'll take breaks for snacks, photos, and summit views while aiming to keep a steady group pace. This trip is a great opportunity to meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts in their 20s and 30s while exploring one of New England's premier alpine hiking destinations.
Required gear includes sturdy hiking footwear, sufficient water, food for a full day in the mountains, extra layers, rain gear, and the Ten Essentials. Please review the trip requirements carefully and reach out with any questions about fitness, experience, or gear.
Thanks! - Vincent & Deanna
