Description: Come join our Appalachian Mountain Club 20s & 30's community for an evening walk/hike around East Rock! We'll start clockwise north on the white trail and loop south on the yellow trail over the summit where there are excellent views of the New Haven skyline. 2.25-2.75 miles in total depending on the exact route and about 350 feet in elevation gain. We will take time to enjoy the views at the top. Afterwards, we may optionally regather at a nearby spot for a meal/social.

New people are always welcome! Registration is requested. The exact meet location near Wilbur Cross High School plus any other final notes and weather postponements/cancellations will be emailed to registered participants 1-3 days before. Footwear/water for 2.75 miles on the trail.
Snacks / bug spray as needed.
Headlamp / light source just in case.

About
Founded in 1876, the Appalachian Mountain Club is a non-profit organization that promotes the protection, enjoyment, and understanding of the mountains, forests, waters, and trails of America’s Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. The word "club" by no means implies exclusivity: AMC is a welcoming community where people of all backgrounds can come together and enjoy the outdoors. The Connecticut Chapter of AMC is active across the state and volunteers organize hundreds of activities annually. The CT Young Members Committee is geared towards participants in their 20s & 30s. Some goals of the 20s & 30s group is to add more frequent activities and expand into multi-day adventures such as camping trips, hostels, backpacking, and destination trips that build community and lasting friendships. This activity is geared towards those who identify as ages 20-39; for more information please review this document.
