Description: Join the Narragansett 20s/30s for a hike through Weetamoo Woods and the Pardon Gray Preserve in historic Tiverton, Rhode Island. Discover remnants of a colonial past while connecting with nature and good company! From old cellar holes and slab bridges over Borden Brook to the foundations of an abandoned sawmill and the remains of a colonial “highway” in Eight Rod Way, Weetamoo Woods provides for exploration into the days of old.
We will hike roughly 4 to 5 miles by weaving together the main Weetamoo Woods and Pardon Gray Preserve loops via several shorter connecting trails, taking time to stop at featured locations including a small climb to the top of “High Rock”.
