Description: The plan is to start our adventure at Beavertail Lighthouse , a historic lighthouse standing proudly atop the rocky cliffs, keeping watch over the Atlantic for centuries. The trail around the lighthouse is easy, perfect for breathing in the salty sea air, listening to waves crashing against the rocks, and taking in views that look like they came straight from a painting. Every corner has its own story: from ancient shipwrecks to the perseverance of the lighthouse keepers who tended this light for generations.
Afterwards, we’ll drive just 10 minutes to Fort Wetherill State Park , a park with short trails that hide secrets of its military past and corners where time seems to stand still. Among the rocks and trees, echoes of soldiers and explorers linger, and though the route is brief, every step sparks curiosity and a desire to discover. Between the two sites, we’ll likely cover about 4 miles in total, but each segment has its own essence, its own story, and that feeling of exploring something bigger than ourselves. An excursion blending nature, history, and a touch of hidden magic around every turn.
