Description: Join the Narragansett young members on a hike through Buck Hill Management Area in Burrillville, RI. Buck Hill Management Area is a 1,777 acre site of forest land, wetland area and agricultural land containing hiking and biking trails, birdwatching and other wildlife viewing and hunting. Our hike will take us by Benson Mountain and around Buck Hill Pond. Participants can expect to hike around 3.3 miles at a moderate pace of 1.5 mph in order to make it in time to the associated social in Charlton, MA. April historically exhibits fairly wet and muddy terrain. Participants should be prepared for the possibility of encountering standing water on the trail.
What you should bring: Good boots that can withstand muddy or slightly submerged trails 1 liter water Layers as necessary Poles if necessary Snacks as necessary Blaze Orange vest
This event is part of the 20's & 30's Interchapter Spring Fling with the Connecticut, Narragansett, Southeastern MA, Western MA, and Worcester chapters. After the hike, participants are encouraged to attend the Social at Tree House Brewing Co starting at 4pm.
