Details

The troll has a name. She's Mrs. Skipper and she’s located at Kettle Point in East Providence. She is one of several re-cycled wood structures created by Danish artist, Thomas Danbo on Rhode Island’s troll trail. She is described as the gentle guardian of the bay. All the trolls were designed to connect people with nature while promoting sustainability.
LAUNCH: Bold Point Park, 15 Pier Road, East Providence, RI 02914
DATE: Saturday, September 19

TIME: 1 PM
BRING: kayaks 12 feet or longer. SUPers are welcome to join us. Bring your peripherals such as gloves and paddling equipment, such as pumps, tie/tow lines, etc. PFD’s/life jackets must be properly worn. Bring hydration, wear wicking clothes.

We are not going fast. The temperature is scheduled to be 70 degrees and wind is 8 mph which makes it flat water. This paddle is at least a four mile round trip. We may go further if the entire group chooses to do so.

RENTAL: One 16 foot Current Design sea kayak is available for rent, first come, first served. Call Linda 401-351-2234 or email [lindapease275@gmail.com](mailto:lindapease275@gmail.com). Cost $6 for half day.

AFTER PADDLE SOCIAL: Pack snacks or late afternoon dinner, a folding chair, and folding table if you have one so we can have a semi-reunion for people who have paddled with us before and new comers can meet other chapter kayakers and SUPers.
