20s/30s Philly Chocolate Walk

Details

Some people say chocolate is the world's most perfect food! Come join us on a 3 - 4 mile walk through several Philly neighborhoods to visit some of the city's best Chocolate shops! Our urban hike will start at the Independence Mall Visitor Center (restrooms available). From there we will travel to South Philly's Italian Market and visit one of the top coffee and chocolate shops. We will follow that with visits to three other shops including America's oldest contiguous confectionary. Bring along a cooler bag if you plan to take some treats home. Those that are interested can join us at Spruce Street Harbor along the Delaware River Waterfront for drinks and lunch/snacks before returning to the Visitor Center.

Dress for the weather and bring along plenty of water and snacks if needed. The walk will be 3 - 4miles at a moderate pace. Steady rain cancels - check status by 7am the day of the hike or contact leader.

Logistics - We will meet at 10am at the Visitor Center, 599 Market Street. There are many public parking lots in the vicinity. Those who would like to take public transportation can get off at Jefferson Station (N. 12th and Market Street) and then walk 6 blocks down Market Street to the Independence Mall Visitor Center.

Please note: In order to comply with Pennsylvania Youth Protection Laws, all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. This policy applies for all events offered by the Delaware Valley Chapter as well as any other Chapter events within the state of Pennsylvania.
