Audience: 20’s & 30’s
Description: Join the 20s/30s group on a lovely moderate spring time hike through Trexler Nature Preserve. A perfect opportunity to meet new friends and explore new places!
This park is known for it's beautiful vista views, historic covered bridges, elk, and bison herds. We will meet at the parking lot of the Trexler Environmental Center for at 10am hike start (bathrooms are available at trailhead). We will be combining a few trails to make sure we get to all of the pretty spring time views and to the elk and bison herds. There are a lot of ups and downs on this trail but we will be walking at a moderate pace and taking breaks when needed.
Please bring water, snacks, and a packed lunch which we will be having on trail. Sunscreen, insect repellent, and a hat are recommended as well as sturdy hiking boots and poles if you like to use them. Heavy rain will cancel the hike.L
This is the second qualifying co-lead for Alyssa Hannon to become an AMC leader, so come out and support her.
If you're feeling snackish after the hike we can stop at Crystal Spring Farms "Home of the Freshest Milk and Ice Cream in Town" for some well deserved post hike treats. Located about 10 minutes north from Trexler Preseve (40.684657,-75.595551).
This trip is intended to be a 20s/30s affinity trip. Participation is limited to those who identify with this age group. Please note: In order to comply with Pennsylvania Youth Protection Laws, all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent or a legal guardian. This policy applies for all events offered by the Delaware Valley Chapter as well as any other Chapter events within the state of Pennsylvania.
