Audience: 20’s & 30’s

Description: Join the 20s/30s for a winding, approximately 4-mile loop hike through Palmyra Cove Nature Park, a 350-acre nature preserve in Palmyra, NJ, offering over 8 miles of trails for hiking, birdwatching, and fishing along the Delaware River and Pennsauken Creek. It features diverse habitats, abundant wildlife like deer and various bird species, and views of the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge.

This route combines the Perimeter Trail, Cove Trail, and other interior trails into one winding loop. Our primary goal is to enjoy the outdoors, have fun, and perhaps spot some wildlife in the park. The terrain is flat with approximately 60ft of elevation change.

If it has recently rained, parts of the trail may be muddy. Hiking boots are advised. Bathrooms are NOT available in the park. Meet at 9:20 AM in front of the Environmental Center building.

If this lot is full, there is street parking along the divided road around the turn past the Environmental Center. Please bring at least one bottle of water and pack a snack to enjoy midway, if you wish.

Rain cancels. The leader will send a status email by 11:00 PM the night before the hike. All participants will need to agree to and sign a paper AMC legal waiver sheet just prior to the hike if you did not register online in the AMC Outdoor Connector.

This trip is intended to be a 20s/30s affinity trip. Participation is limited to those who identify with this age group. If you have questions about eligibility or the nature of this trip, please contact the trip leader(s) by email for more information.

Please note: In order to comply with Pennsylvania Youth Protection Laws, all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. This policy applies for all events offered by the Delaware Valley Chapter as well as any other Chapter events within the state of Pennsylvania.
