Description: Join a multi-chapter water chestnut pull on the Nashua River. The Nashua River Watershed Association will provide training and the opportunity to make a big difference on the highly impacted Pepperell Pond area. This open area created by impounded water above the Pepperrell Dam creates ideal habitat for turtles, raptors, and water foul of all kinds. NRWA will provide collection baskets and gloves.
Some canoes are available from Nashoba Paddlers. Please indicate on your registration form if you will need a boat.
Meet at the Parking Lot of 129 Main Street, Pepperell, MA 01463
Bring water, lunch, and snacks. Wear sun protection, and dress for the weather. You may appreciate insect repellent. PFDs are required for this activity.
