Description: Join on us for a paddle on one of New Hampshire's most beautiful and well preserved large lakes. While wending our way through the lake's small islands, we'll admire the changing colors of the leaves and views of Mount Morgan and Percival, Rattlesnake and Red Hill.
We expect to cover at least 12 statute miles round trip. Although this is of course a fresh water lake far inland, we have classified it as a "sea" paddle. We have classified the trip as such to underscore that paddlers must have experience for the conditions we may encounter. Given the size of the lake, at times we could be well over half a mile from the shore in significant wind and white caps. Paddlers should have a boat more than 12 feet long with two sealed hatches, PFDs, and self and assisted rescue skills in case of a capsize. Warm weather gear and cool weather experience are required.
Bring $5 cash for the launch and parking fee.
