Haverstraw Ferry to Nyack via River Trail (Vigorous)

Details
We'll take the train to Ossining, have a short walk in Ossining waterfront park, take the ferry across the Hudson River to Haverstraw, then a 10 mile moderately-paced walk along the river into Nyack to the bus stop for the free shuttle to the Tarrytown. Optional 5-mile extension walk across the Cuomo bridge to the Tarrytown train station.
We'll take the 9:50 am Hudson Line semi-local train from Grand Central to Ossining, arriving Ossining 10:47, ride in the last two cars and walk up the first staircase to the roadway. We'll walk along the Ossining waterfront park and stop at the park restroom then catch the 11:43 ferry to Haverstraw arriving Haverstraw 11:58 and start walking south. You can come with us on the 9:50 train, or meet us at the Ossining train station at 10:47, or take the ferry from Ossining with us at 11:43, or meet us at the Haverstraw ferry landing at 11:58.
Please RSVP for the walk here on Meetup and also register for the walk at the AMC website AMC registration - you don't need to be an AMC member or even have an AMC account to register for the walk online, just fill in the info. Walking route: south on Riverside Avenue about 1.5 miles to the Haverstraw River Trail, about 5 miles to Nyack Beach State Park restroom, up the short switchback trail and out to North Broadway for about 2 miles, right on Main St., left on S. Franklin St. to catch the eastbound free shuttle bus to the Tarrytown train station at S. Franklin St. and Burd St. in front of the Hello Delly. We hope to catch the 4:04 express train to Grand Central.
The river trail runs along the Hudson River below Hook Mountain, the total elevation gain is just 476 feet, there's a few small inclines but mostly the trail is flat and wide. There will be bicycles on the path so we need to stay right and we'll have a sweep to shout out bikes coming from the back.
