Join us for a scenic hike along the White Trail in Inwood Hill Park, Manhattan’s last natural forest!
We'll follow a relaxed paced 3-mile loop through this beautiful and historic park, with around 87 ft elevation gain. Please note this gentle hike includes stairs, which will lead us into the woods. On this out and back loop we will see breathtaking views of the Hudson River, Spuyten Duyvil Creek, and the Palisades! We'll take it easy and enjoy breaks along the way to enjoy the views and take in this amazing place.
What to Bring: Water, weather-appropriate clothes, sun screen bug spray, sturdy footwear, and a positive attitude! No dogs allowed on this hike.
How to Register; Register by clicking HERE to sign the electronic waiver, or RSVP on Meetup and sign a paper waiver at the start of the trip.
Meeting Place & Time: Meet us at 12:00pm at the park entrance at the westmost end of Dyckman St. After a brief talk about the AMC and this morning's route, we'll start off no later than 12:15pm.
How to get there: Park Entrance at the west end of Dyckman St (10-minute walk west of A line Dyckman St Station
If weather forces cancellation, we'll post an update at least 2 hours in advance.
