Join the Appalachian Mountain Club this National Wellness Month for restorative walks and journaling experiences in parks throughout New York City.

Today, we'll venture to Prospect Park. We’ll begin at the entrance across from Prospect Park Station, at the intersection between Ocean and E Lake Drive. Then we will ease into a mindful nature-bathing experience as we take in the park’s natural beauty. From there, we’ll stroll at a relaxed pace around Prospect Park Lake, before settling in at Prospect Park Lookout hill for a peaceful journaling workshop.

Journaling prompts will be provided to help guide your reflections, but you're welcome to write or draw freely—whatever speaks to you in the moment. The focus of this walk is to slow down, recharge, and reconnect with yourself through nature and self-expression.

We’ll wrap up back at the entrance across from Prospect Park Station, at the intersection between Ocean and E Lake Drive, leaving you grounded, inspired, and refreshed.

Bring water, weather-appropriate clothes, a journal / notebook, writing or drawing utensils, sturdy footwear, and a positive attitude! Well-behaved and leashed dogs are permitted on this walk.
