Join the Appalachian Mountain Club this National Wellness Month for restorative walks and journaling experiences in parks throughout New York City.

We return to Central Park, this time in the North Woods. We’ll begin at the entrance on the 100th St Transverse on the West Side, in front of the Boy’s Gate. The we'll ease into a mindful nature-bathing experience as we take in the park’s natural beauty. From there, we’ll stroll at a relaxed pace around Central Park’s North Woods, before settling in by the Glen Span Arch for a peaceful journaling workshop.

Journaling prompts will be provided to help guide your reflections, but you're welcome to write or draw freely—whatever speaks to you in the moment. The focus of this walk is to slow down, recharge, and reconnect with yourself through nature and self-expression.

Bring water, weather-appropriate clothes, a journal / notebook, writing or drawing utensils, sturdy footwear, and a positive attitude! Well-behaved and leashed dogs are permitted on this walk.
