Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park

Come along on a fascinating hike through Franklin Delano Roosevelt -FDR State Park in northern Westchester, just off the Taconic Parkway. We’ll cover approximately 4.5 to 5 miles in about 2.5 hours of hiking and exploring a mix of trails and open fields. This may be the first time any of our local hiking groups features FDR State Park, so it’s a great opportunity to discover something new! We’ll be hiking at a slow to moderate pace, making this outing ideal for new hikers, those returning to the trails, and curious, experienced hikers looking for a fresh adventure. No public transit nearby. Joint with the Westchester Hiking Meetup Group. Great weather expected. You may stay and swim. A huge Olympic-sized public pool is available- admission $3.
