Details

A 10-dollar admission fee. Bring a guest and chip in. Come along on a fascinating hike through FDR State Park in northern Westchester, just off the Taconic Parkway. We’ll cover approximately 5 miles exploring a mix of trails and open fields. The trails are easy and the hills are not very high. Consider this a mild hike and very suitable for beginners. Scenery throughout is excellent. Bring lunch or a snack. You may stay and swim. A huge Olympic-sized public pool is available- admission $3. No dogs. No public transportation.

If taking the Taconic, you will exit at Exit 16, which will immediately take you into the park near parking lot 1 on the left after you enter the park. Hike begins at 10:15 sharp. Joint with the Westchester Hiking Meetup Group. Set GPS to FDR State Park, 2957 Crompond Rd., Yorktown Heights, NY 10598
