Join AMC’s Concrete to Trails Bus Trips
Discover wild places just beyond the city limits—no Uber, Lyft or train ticket required! AMC’s Concrete to Trails program offers weekly Saturday bus trips from New York City to stunning natural areas that are typically hard to reach without a vehicle. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or simply seeking fresh air and new views, these outings make it easy to escape the pavement and step into nature.

Mount Beacon Fire Tower and Sloop Brewing Co.
On this trip we invite you to join us on Concrete to Trails as we first hike Mount Beacon and the fire tower (4 miles / 1,500 feet elevation gain) and second stop by Sloop Brewing Co. for a break before we drive back in the bus to our original meeting location near the George Washington Bridge Bus Station. The hike will challenge us to climb a steep sustained slope as we chance our luck on the Casino Trail before we take notice of the view from the fire tower. We will be tired by the end of the hike and will then head to Sloop Brewing Co. to taste test and relax while enjoying the company of the group.

What to Bring:

• Sturdy hiking footwear
• Weather appropriate clothing
• 2 liters of water
• Lunch and snacks
• Sun protection (clothing, hat, sunblock)
• Bug protection (lotion or spray)

Registration Details:

• Open to adults; registration is required for each participant.
• Space is limited so register early!
• Please register only if you are committed to attending.
• If plans change, kindly cancel online to open space for others.

Meeting Info:
The group will meet the bus at 8:00 AM and depart promptly by 8:15 AM. Final meeting details (near the George Washington Bridge Bus Station) will be emailed to registered participants 1 day prior to departure.

Cost:
Round trip transportation is only $5 members / $25 non-members. (CASH)

Refund Policy: For this trip, a refund is possible if you successfully cancel at outdoors.org one week before the trip and your space can be filled.
