What we're about

Meet other Overseas Americans. Share your experiences and lessons as an American living abroad.

In AARO MeetUps not only do we enjoy meeting each other, we also have lively discussions on political issues affecting overseas Americans - from taxes to voting to citizenship to whatever else is on your mind.

For over 45 years this Paris based non-profit, non-partisan volunteer association has been informing fellow Americans about our issues living abroad and advocating for our concerns.

If you are not yet a member of the AARO Association, we encourage you to become a member today. Not only would you join part of a global community of concerned and committed U.S. citizens but you would also be supporting AARO’s work to defend the interests of those citizens.

And there are real immediate benefits to the AARO Association membership! Check them out here on AARO's web site: https://www.aaro.org/membership/aaro-member-benefits

Stay informed, know your rights, get involved.

Association of Americans Resident Overseas (Paris) Monthly Lunch Meetup

Location visible to members

Join the Association of Americans Resident Overseas for lunch and a lively discussion of political issues affecting overseas Americans - from taxes to voting to citizenship to whatever else is on your mind. AARO members, come catch up with fellow members and non-members, come meet us and learn more about the organization. The meetings take place in central Paris.

VENUE: Every month, some attendees request a change of venue and we ask for recommendations. We are going to try Breakfast in America, (BIA-2), 4 rue Malher, 75004. Very near Mº Saint Paul. Very reasonable prices. Check the menu: https://breakfast-in-america.com/ Be careful to come to this location in the 4th and not the BIA-1

We are going to close the reservation on the Friday before the lunch, with confirmation of numbers. Not only must we insist on your signing up in advance, but also that you please take yourself off the list if you cannot attend. Feel free to come if you are waitlisted. The reservation list serves as an indication of group size. Thank you for your help with that. We do not want to create a deposit payment system to avoid no-shows. Please help us with that.
